Improve Your Smile

Smiles are a big part of our identity, how we feel about ourselves and how others perceive us. In a recent survey, of more than 1,000 Americans (age 18 and over), 72% of the respondents agreed that people of all ages with healthy, straight teeth are typically treated better in social situations than those with noticeably crooked teeth. Conversely, nearly half said that crooked teeth leave a negative first impression.

“We live in a very image-conscious society and impressions are made within a few seconds. Straightening teeth makes a difference and can ultimately make or break your chances of getting certain opportunities.”
— Mark Montano, host of TLC’s, 10 Years Younger

The good news? With the innovative technology of the Damon System, it’s easier than ever before to improve your smile in far less time, with greater comfort and with greater results and benefits that last a lifetime.

At Marz Orthodontics the majority of our patients use the Damon System which is an advanced orthodontic bracket system that creates better results in less time.

We have an advanced technology of uncovering teeth that are stuck in the bone and we are able to put a bracket on it using our laser system. Using our laser system will speed up the process.

Damon System

The Damon System creates a beautiful smile with fewer appointments and shorter treatment time compared to conventional braces. In most cases, extractions are not necessary when using the Damon System. This revolutionary approach will eliminate the need to tighten braces which makes for a more comfortable experience.

Fewer adjustments are needed because of high technology wires that move teeth faster. You can expect better results in a much faster time. The Damon System is for people of all ages!

Phase 1 – Preventative: Ages 6 – 11

When a patient comes in they generally know that something is wrong. Some of the conditions include: Narrow upper jaw, the upper jaw is to far back, the lower jaw is to far forward, they have a cross bite, extra permanent teeth, teeth taken out before they should have been taken out (pre-mature teeth loss).

These conditions are treated using partial braces, expansion appliances and some light elastics. In most cases, headgear can be avoided.

Many parents may ask why they should bring their child in for Phase 1 treatment:

If the above conditions are not treated at a young condition it can make treatment more difficult for full braces, there would be a longer treatment time and will not have as good results. Many of these conditions can lead to slight facial deformities.

Correcting the problems at a younger age gives the child better results when we do Phase 2.

Phase 2 – Full braces: Ages 11+

In this phase, patients have all their permanent teeth. They have major crowding or jaw alignment problems and they require full braces. Because of the bracket system we use we can treat patients in less time and give them better smiles. We treat the jaw and alignment at the same time which saves a lot of treatment time. Treatments that used to take 3-4 years because of jaw problems can be finished in 2 years or less. Fewer visits, better results. (Molar to Molar) is used to correct an overbite without headgear and elastics. (ormco.com – Advance Sync)

Cosmetic Braces: Adults that want straightening

A lot of Adults would like their teeth straightened but they don’t want to have braces for a long period of time. We will align their front teeth to make them look nicer. Generally this process takes about 6 months.

Does it Hurt?

The days of having braces tightened are over. This revolutionary new approach to orthodontics ensures greater comfort throughout treatment. That’s because Damon System braces have a unique slide mechanism that allows your doctor to use far lighter forces to move teeth to their correct positions. So not only is your treatment shorter, it is also far more comfortable. Many people experience little to no discomfort in treatment.
